Rehearsals for the bands new season started on Monday 15th September.
The Belfast Jazz Orchestra is a talented group of local musicians, passionate about the performance of the “Big Band” swing sound and the Jazz music of composers like Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Glen Miller.
The band are particularly interested in hearing from any musicians that play Trumpet, Trombone or Saxophone.
So if you are Grade 5 or above, can read music and over 18 years of age, then why not come along any Monday evening 07:30-09:30 pm.
Our rehearsals are a great opportunity to learn from experienced musicians and collaborate with other musicians under the musical direction of Victor Currie.
You will also have opportunity to work with our fantastic vocalist, Caroline Brown.
Rehearsals are held on a weekly basis, providing a consistent opportunity to play and improve.
You will also have the chance to showcase your skills in performances at various events throughout the year, including Shorts Sports & Recreation Club.
