In Memory – Martin (Marty) Wilson
In memory of a distinguished musician, Marty served as Principal Trombone of the Ulster Orchestra since 1989, enriching Northern Ireland’s cultural landscape for over three decades.
His exceptional talent extended beyond classical music – he was also an accomplished jazz singer and served as Musical Director of the Belfast Jazz Swing Orchestra for four years, delighting audiences at numerous BJSO evenings.

The Belfast Jazz Orchestra is a talented group of musicians, passionate about the performance of the “Big Band” swing sound and the Jazz music of composers like Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Glen Miller. We welcome all musicians, regardless of instrument or skill level, to come and join our rehearsals.
